Booking Guide

Age Limits

Drivers must be aged between 25 and 75 years, drivers aged 21 to 25 are often acceptable subject to approval, and vehicle type.

Driving Licence

You must be in possession of  full valid driving licence which you have held for at least one year at the time of rental. If you are an overseas visitors you must possess a licence which is valid in your own country and, where appropriate, an international driving permit.

Endorsements and Accidents

As long as your licence is not suspended certain endorsements are accepted at our discretion. Certain minor driving accidents within the past three years are acceptable. You should call us with details.

Identification

You must produce your driving licence. For holders of the new style UK licence, both the photo ID card and the paper detailing the driver history must be produced.

We also need an additional form of identification such as a passport or utility bill with your name and present address on.

You will also be asked to leave a landline and mobile telephone number where you can be contacted either during the day or evening. 

Additional Drivers

We charge £5.00 per day for each additional driver upto a maximum of £20.00, who are subject to the same conditions as the main driver and must be declared at the time of hiring.

Insurance

We offer full insurance. You will have to complete a separate
insurance proposal form which, if accepted, covers you and the
vehicle for road risks, but does not cover any contents or goods
carried within the vehicle.

Excess

The insurance excess is set at £500.00 which you would be liable for, if you are involved in any accident or incident which involves costs over and above the deposit amount.

Waiver

A waiver payment of £5.00 per day will reduce your insurance excess liability to that of the deposit amount.

Deposit

For most vehicles the deposit is £150.00, for minibuses and special cases it is £250.00. The deposit is required using credit/debit card pre-authorisation. This will not be refunded if you are involved in any accident or incident, or if there is any damage to the vehicle. Minor damage would be charged at workshop costs if less than the deposit and no third parties involved.

Payment

Full payment for hire must be made on collection of the vehicle either by cash or approved credit or debit card. All charges must be paid at the time the vehicle is collected.

Cash

If paying by cash three types of  identification is required, one of which must be a photo ID such as a passport.

Credit Cards

Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted, however American Express and Diner's Club are not. The hirer's name must match the name on the card.

Debit Cards

Debit cards are accepted as a method of payment. You must ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover the cost of the hire and where applicable the deposit. We will not be responsible for any bank charges that you may incur.

When using a card with a PIN number this number must be used to proceed with the payment.

Advanced Reservations

A nominal deposit of £25.00 is required as a gesture of your intention to honour your booking. If you wish to cancel and you give us reasonable notice we will return your deposit.

Fuel

All vehicles are supplied with a quarter tank of fuel and we request that the vehicle is returned with the same quantity. A re-fuelling charge (based on market competitive price) will be made if it is necessary to bring the level of fuel up to where it was when you took the vehicle.

Breakdown and Accidents

All vehicles are covered by the RAC or AA recovery services and a 24 hour helpline number is supplied with the vehicle.

Rental Agreement

When you come to hire the vehicle you will be required to read and sign the rental agreement which lists the rental period, the total charges and the conditions of the rental. This is your contract with us.
